This position is a Survey Party Chief which requires 4 - 8 years of experience supervising a survey field crew performing boundary and topographic surveys, construction stakeout, monitoring and as-built surveys.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum of 4 - 8 years of experience.
  • Must have excellent math skills
  • A valid current driver’s license
  • Pre-employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment.
  • Motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a crew of surveyors in the field.
  • Operate robotic total stations, electronic data collectors and RTK GPS equipment.
  • Perform survey calculations in the field.
  • Interpret design plans and understand as-built drawings and roadway plans.
  • Create legible field sketches.
  • Follow instructions, training and mentoring crews with a positive can-do attitude are necessities.
  • Possess leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Lift 50 pounds, walk for extended periods, work in all weather conditions, willing to work evenings/weekends when required, willing to travel for overnight and extended stay projects as required.
