Requirements

• California PLS (Professional Land Surveyor license)
• At least 5 years of office mapping experience in private land development and public works projects
• Thorough knowledge of the California Subdivision Map Act, Professional Surveyors Act, and local Civil Codes
• Strong leadership skills and excellent communication abilities

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in Civil 3D (MicroStation Inroads a plus)
• Familiarity with Trimble Business Center and Carlson software
• Previous field experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and collaborate with a team on survey projects
• Prepare CAD drawings including boundary surveys, topographic maps, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, as-builts, and subdivision maps
• Coordinate and process plans with City and County agencies
• Manage projects, including business development, proposal writing, and estimating
• Ensure project goals are met on time
• Provide mentorship and direction to junior staff
• Oversee schedules and time management
