About The Position

The Survey Manager is responsible for establishing and monitoring construction layout for both temporary and permanent work elements. This role requires full utilization of survey equipment, software, and systems to manage project surveying for construction. The manager will collaborate with engineering and construction operations to determine survey needs, coordinate field operations, and oversee the Survey Quality Control process. Key responsibilities also include procuring and managing survey equipment resources, proactively identifying and solving potential issues, and effectively coordinating various activities and groups under pressure to achieve maximum efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university, Civil Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to communicate with a vast range of support entities including Engineers, Superintendents, and Architects.
• Possess strong problem-solving abilities to address and solve survey challenges associated with construction operations.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and translate into survey data for layout in the field.
• Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• While performing essential job functions, the employee is required to frequently inspect and supervise job operations and may be exposed to ongoing construction. Ability to access all areas of a jobsite is required for the position.
• Knowledge and experience with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Interpersonal – able to work well and persuade people at all organization levels.
• Organizational ability – able to plan, prioritize, organize, and monitor activities and projects. Able to work well in a group environment and foster a team approach.
• Must possess and maintain clean Florida driver’s license.
