Purpose Work with a multi-disciplinary team of field staff and other technicians to review survey and utility data collected in the field for accuracy and completeness. Work on projects of greater scope and complexity.

Requirements

Associate's degree required; bachelor's degree preferred.
Three or more (3+) years of progressively more responsible experience required, preferably in the geospatial realm.
Proficient in ArcGIS software, geodatabase concepts, and editing tools.
Proficient in data management, mapping techniques & methods, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Proficient in creating data reports using spreadsheets and databases.
Proficient reading utility maps, plans, and as-built drawings.
Proficient understanding/use of AutoCAD, basic GPS techniques, land planning, and zoning.
Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
Strong sense of urgency in responding to constituents.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
Self-reliance and ability to operate independently with limited direction.
Effective working relationship with internal leaders and peers, as well as external clients.
Ability to effectively manage multiple time-sensitive tasks.

Responsibilities

Perform work under moderate supervision. Receive direction on moderately complex assignments, tasks, and execution. Work is frequently reviewed by more senior staff to ensure application of sound techniques and principles. Review work produced by junior staff for quality assurance.
Create, organize, manipulate, and retrieve GIS data for reporting, analysis, and management or client presentations.
Perform quality assurance of GIS data and associated graphic components.
Utilize geographic information systems and associated software to produce, display, and analyze geographic information.
Develop and maintain databases, reports, and mapping.
Organize and maintain field data files.
Oversee and process daily downloads of field survey and locate data.
Review field data for completeness and accuracy prior to submitting for review.
Create, organize, manipulate, and retrieve GIS data for reporting, analysis, and management or client presentations.
Populate data into ArcGIS online.
Develop, document, maintain and improve processes and procedures.
Revise deliverable data and ArcGIS data according to client/ manager comments.
Support GIS project initiatives.
Proficient drafting more complex assignments.
