About The Position

The Survey Field Technician at Moore Bass Consulting will be an integral part of a survey crew, responsible for performing various surveying tasks such as construction stakeout, boundary surveys, and topographic surveys for both public and private clients. This role requires the application of standard surveying techniques and the use of advanced survey equipment, while ensuring safety and effective communication within the team.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of two years' experience in a survey-related field preferred.
• Basic understanding of mathematics and measurements.
• Knowledge of survey ethics and technical standards.
• Proficient in construction procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership qualities.
• Ability to read construction plans and organize field notes.
• Ability to execute field staking.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to travel when necessary.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with advanced surveying technology and equipment upgrades.
• Certification to enter confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction stakeout, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and ALTA/NSPS surveys.
• Utilize survey equipment including GPS, Robotic Total Station, and Scanners.
• Coordinate daily with the party chief, field coordinator, project managers, and office staff.
• Adhere to safety regulations and work in a safe manner.
• Upload and download data collectors daily.
• Maintain and charge surveying equipment regularly.
• Advance knowledge with upgrades in technology and equipment.
• Execute other duties as assigned.
