About The Position

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Survey Field Intern to join our team. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.

Requirements

• Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments.
• Ability to carry survey equipment and supplies in remote, rural or urban surroundings.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and walk long distances.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Currently enrolled in an associates or bachelor’s degree program in Surveying, Engineering Technology, or related area of study.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Crew Chief in the operation of a field survey crew.
• Ensure quality of work, safety, and maintenance of equipment.
• Operate equipment and maintain a safe work environment.
• Accurately and efficiently collect field data and locate features.
• Record accurate and clear surveying notes.
• Walk outside year-round through various terrains and in extreme weather conditions.
• Set wooden stakes and iron rods, cut and clear brush, trees, etc.
• Adhere to the company’s Safety, Quality Management and Equipment Maintenance policies.
