What You'll Do: As a Survey Crew Chief, you'll be a leader and a key part of our survey field team, responsible for: Leading Field Operations: Directing a field crew on a variety of projects, including topographic, boundary, and ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, as well as construction stakeouts. Operating Advanced Equipment: Independently using and troubleshooting modern survey equipment. A strong working knowledge of Trimble survey equipment (e.g., robotic total stations, GPS) and software is required. Data Integrity and QA/QC: Ensuring the accuracy and quality of all field data, maintaining detailed field notes, and performing on-site quality control. Team and Project Management: Managing project schedules, coordinating with project managers and clients, and training and mentoring junior crew members. Problem-Solving: Applying your experience to solve complex field challenges and adapting to changing project conditions. This role is ideal for a seasoned surveyor who is ready to lead a crew and contribute to a wide range of exciting and complex projects. Requirements

  • 5-8 years' construction related survey crew chief experience
  • Skilled in the use of GPS devices, data collectors and/or Total Station
  • Experience with Trimble and Access
  • Work requires independent judgment and initiative
  • Knowledge of the principles, techniques, and practices of land surveying
  • Extensive background in construction surveying, construction staking and proper staking procedures.
  • Knowledge of the principles, practices, and instruments used in computer aided drafting
  • Knowledge of industry specific safe workplace principles and practices
  • Ability to operate motorized equipment
  • Ability to work outdoors under various field conditions
  • Valid Driver's License
