As a Geomatics Technician at SAM, you will play a crucial role in supporting both office and field staff by processing incoming information and producing final deliverables for land surveying projects. This position requires you to report directly to the Project Manager and engage in various technical tasks that utilize the latest technology in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (A/E/C) industry. Your contributions will be vital in enhancing project efficiency and ensuring client satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include processing data in accordance with SAM standards, which involves evaluating the accuracy and sufficiency of the data while ensuring compliance with applicable land survey project and industry principles under the guidance of your supervisor. You will also monitor the production and quality assurance of field crews, ensuring that all work meets the high standards expected by SAM and its clients. In addition to data processing, you will prepare survey plats and drawings, legal descriptions, and alignment drawings. Quality control checks of the plats, drawings, and deliverables prepared by other technicians will also be part of your duties. Coordination with your supervisor will be essential to ensure that client-specific demands are met effectively and efficiently. This role is designed for individuals who are detail-oriented and possess a strong technical background in geomatics and surveying.
