JOB SUMMARY The Surveillance Technician is responsible for the maintenance and overall upkeep of the Surveillance systems. Will assist with installation, maintenance, testing, alignment, and repair of the property's surveillance equipment. Will assist with ensuring that property surveillance systems are working within all regulations.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provides technical support and troubleshooting for surveillance systems by identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner to maintain regular operations. Implements preventative maintenance programs designed to eliminate system failures. Installs, configures, repairs, and maintains surveillance hardware and systems such as cameras, servers, recording devices, environmental monitoring devices, weapons detection systems, etc. as directed. Educates users to reduce recurring issues by offering solutions to surveillance issues. Reviews cameras and recording decks to analyze video and determine validity of reports and/or investigative reviews. Conducts regular inventory checks of surveillance equipment and supplies to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with asset management. Maintains and programs computer-controlled matrix switch supporting the monitors and cameras. Maintains knowledge of gaming laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure adherence to all safety protocols and procedures. Attends daily briefings, department meetings on time, participates in a positive manner, and facilitates the flow of information throughout the department. Will be able to perform the duties of the Surveillance Operator job position as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and observational skills in analyzing video footages.
  • Knowledge of surveillance equipment and maintenance techniques.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including knowledge of video surveillance software, database management, and basic networking concepts.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Vocational or technical certifications in related field.
  • Three (3) years' experience with computers and technology.
  • Three (3) years' experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Must obtain valid Virginia Racing Commission License.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a minimum of three (3) years of driving experience.
