About The Position

The Surveillance Operator at Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel is responsible for monitoring the Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) system to identify theft, cheating scams, employee procedure violations, and other issues that threaten the assets, customers, and employees of the casino. The operator will report all theft and gaming violations to the Lead Surveillance Operator, observe customer and employee behavior patterns, conduct video reviews and investigations, and write daily reports. The role requires cooperation with other departments within the casino and communication with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. The operator must also protect confidential information regarding security and surveillance systems and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous security, surveillance or law enforcement experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of casino gaming (i.e. table games, slot machines, bingo, etc.).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including keypad and printer use.
  • Strong report writing skills.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong eye for detail.
  • Basic knowledge of electronics.
  • Ability to maintain a strict level of confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct surveillance investigation functions in accordance with departmental policy.
  • Protect all confidential information regarding security and surveillance systems.
