About The Position

As an Overnight Surveillance Operator at Nemacolin's luxury resort, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests and associates by controlling and operating the central communication system, as well as partaking in any auxiliary patrol or event roles if requires. Overnight shift hours are from 10pm to 6:30am. A $1 shift differential will be added to the hourly pay rate during this shift. Requirements

  • High School education required.
  • Ability to stand/sit up to 8 hours at a time.
  • Must be able to speak the English language fluently.
  • Must possess good written and verbal communication skills, good organization skills, and the ability to work in a stressful environment.
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts – including holidays, weekends, evenings, nights, etc.
  • Computer/ email Skills
  • Must participate in a resort provided hospitality security officer certification program and obtain a passing score within 60 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous security experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Guard property and personnel against theft, vandalism and illegal activities through proactive camera monitoring of the property.
  • Answers phone calls and communicates with security personnel as necessary.
  • Observes departing personnel to guard against theft of company property via bag checks.
  • Records data regarding accidents/incidents and conducts investigations.
  • Follows established procedures for handling emergencies.
  • Fire/hazard detection and prevention.
  • Collaborates with resort leadership, security department and any outside entities as approved by VP of IT & Security.
  • Other job duties as assigned.
