About The Position

Monitor day-to-day operations of the BlueWater Resort & Casino. Will be responsible for monitoring all game related areas and ensuring that immediate action is taken on any situation which may be life-threatening, illegal or endangers the welfare of our guests or employees. Detects cheating activity, oversees and verifies large payoffs by the casino, operates video equipment and completes reports and logs relative to activities observed. Monitor day-to-day surveillance of the BlueWater Resort & Casino. Train surveillance personnel when necessary. Records events in table games, slots, cage, keno, bingo, poker, bar, hard count, soft count; must have a working knowledge of cash transaction reports, policies and procedures and regulatory regulations. Performs duties in compliance with company and gaming regulations; responsible for disclosing irregularities, variance from procedures etc., observed during the performance of duties to the immediate attention of management. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Surveillance and above. Ability to perform tasks and remain vigilant in the event of an emergency. Ability to work flexible hours, shifts, or days as determined by business demands. Notify appropriate management, Tribal Gaming Agency (TGA) and Colorado River Indian Tribes (CRIT) Police Department of incidents, violations or gaming infractions. Submit surveillance reports, logs, tapes, or any other surveillance records, if requested, to the Tribal Gaming Agency. Report any observed criminal behavior immediately to the proper management and/or authorities. May function as Surveillance Supervisor when assigned. Able to operate and troubleshoot surveillance video equipment; able to use a computer and various types of surveillance software applications; familiar with procedures of all other departments; able to count cards and recognize other cheating methods. All other duties as assigned (non-gaming functions and issued gaming license permitting).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must have experience in casino or Tribal Gaming Agency Operations and a thorough knowledge of the laws applicable to surveillance.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, shifts, or days as determined by business demands.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to fifty pounds.
