The position involves monitoring and reacting to security situations, safety issues, illegal activities, internal procedural violations, and regulatory infractions. The individual must maintain strict confidentiality at all times regarding the surveillance system and operations. Any information or observance of activities that may affect the business, reputation, safety, or compliance of the property must be reported to the surveillance Supervisor or Manager on duty, and if necessary, the Director of Surveillance. The role requires observing monitor screens that display views of the Gaming facility and land-based sites, adjusting monitor controls to improve reception, and notifying the Surveillance Technician of equipment malfunctions. The individual must follow all instructions from Surveillance Department Shift Supervisors and Managers, inform the supervisor of issues as they occur, and maintain close surveillance of all gaming and non-gaming activities. This includes identifying, recording, and documenting illegal or unusual activities occurring in various areas such as the slot area, slot booths, count rooms, vault, and cage. All illegal and unusual activities must be reported to the Supervisor or appropriate authority, and all written reports required during the working shift must be completed. Other duties may be assigned at any time.
