About The Position

Support the Department’s public safety mission by supervising and monitoring probationers in accordance with DOC standards. The role enhances community safety through home contacts, investigative support, and coordination with community resources. It ensures accurate documentation, effective communication, and timely reporting. Surveillance Officers play a key role in probationer accountability and successful reintegration.

Requirements

  • Ability to collect, analyze, and accurately document information from multiple sources
  • Ability to maintain detailed records in accordance with departmental standards
  • Effective verbal communication skills
  • Effective written communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
  • Experience using automated databases and case management systems

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in surveillance operations and investigative techniques, particularly within a criminal justice or human services setting
  • Strong report writing skills, including the ability to produce clear, concise, and objective documentation
