About The Position

The Surveillance Manager is responsible for managing, planning, and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the surveillance department at Spirit Mountain Casino. This role involves overseeing surveillance operations, ensuring the proper functioning of surveillance systems, and coordinating with other departments to minimize disruption to business operations. The manager will also supervise the Technical Supervisor, manage budgets for projects, and maintain communication with law enforcement and other agencies regarding surveillance matters. The position requires a strong understanding of surveillance principles, casino operations, and project management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Five (5) years of experience managing daily casino surveillance operations.
  • Three (3) years of surveillance supervisor experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Synergy certification.
  • High security gaming license issued by the Grand Ronde Gaming Commission.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees surveillance operations for assigned shifts and ensures proper surveillance and timely investigations of questionable and/or illegal activity.
  • Monitors and ensures the proper functioning of surveillance systems and related equipment.
  • Coordinates work order requests and project activities with other departments.
  • Monitors the quality of supplier products and work performed by vendors.
  • Performs software programming and design work related to the surveillance monitoring system.
  • Assists in protecting the casino's assets through diligent monitoring.
  • Supervises the utilization of equipment and software for identifying and reporting suspicious behavior.
  • Provides supervision and support for the Technical Supervisor.
  • Coordinates and participates in surveillance functions including monitoring casino activities.
  • Reviews and monitors surveillance reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintains communication between departmental staff, other casino departments, and law enforcement.
  • Monitors and provides recommendations for improving surveillance operations.
  • Attends and participates in meetings, briefings, and training sessions.
  • May develop and maintain the department's surveillance databases.
  • May process departmental payroll and maintain supply inventories.
  • Acts as liaison in the absence of the surveillance director.
  • Generates and assists with developing specialized reports.
  • Prepares and maintains department reports and documentation.
