This role involves conducting discreet, vehicle-based field investigations to uncover insurance fraud and deliver trusted results to clients. Requirements

  • Must currently hold or be eligible to obtain Private Investigator licenses in multiple states, including California and surrounding jurisdictions.
  • Active driver's license that is not currently suspended or revoked.
  • A well-maintained, reliable personal vehicle (preferably with tinted windows).
  • Proof of auto insurance coverage.
  • Willingness for occasional further travel and overnight stays (company-covered).
  • Reliable laptop, cell phone, and internet service.
  • Strong computer and internet proficiency.
  • Excellent communication, verbal, and writing skills.
  • Possess or be willing to purchase a covert camera, digital video camera with uploading capabilities, and a laptop computer with Windows Operating System and access to Microsoft Word.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial research and gather intelligence on subjects using social media and database tools.
  • Perform discreet, mobile, and stationary surveillance, tracking movements and capturing high-quality video evidence.
  • Obtain videotaped documentation, photos, and audio recordings as part of thorough surveillance.
  • Perform courthouse research, background checks, and monitor subject activities to build robust case reports.
  • Draft clear, concise, and detailed investigative reports summarizing findings and evidence.
  • Upload all video, photographic, and audio evidence into the case management system in a timely and organized manner.
  • Stay connected with your field supervisor for ongoing support, guidance, and mentorship.
  • Drive safely and responsibly while traveling to and from investigation sites.
