As a Surveillance Implementation Engineer, you’ll deploy and integrate advanced radar and surveillance technologies into mission-critical facilities that operate 24/7. Your expertise will directly influence the reliability and performance of the FAA’s National Airspace System (NAS).

  • Plan, deploy, and implement surveillance and radar equipment and supporting infrastructure.
  • Align deployments with operational, safety, and performance requirements for mission-critical environments.
  • Collaborate with engineering, program management, and FAA stakeholders to coordinate schedules and technical activities.
  • Prepare documentation and reports to support operational readiness and deployment milestones.
  • Assist with site-level installation, integration, and testing activities.
  • Track deployment schedules and resolve routine technical issues under senior guidance.
  • Contribute to readiness reviews and technical documentation.
  • Conduct site readiness assessments, including infrastructure evaluations and logistics planning.
  • Perform or oversee system integration activities, ensuring compatibility between legacy and new systems.
  • Support end-to-end testing of radar and surveillance equipment, verifying operational performance and adherence to FAA standards.
  • Participate in acceptance testing and provide technical sign-off for deployment milestones.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience with a BS (or equivalent).
  • Background supporting complex systems or infrastructure deployment.
  • Familiarity with emerging surveillance technologies such as ADS-B, multilateration, or next-gen radar systems, and the ability to recommend improvements for deployment efficiency.
  • Background deploying systems in 24/7 operational environments, ensuring minimal service interruptions.
  • Familiarity with deployment planning software, configuration management tools, and engineering documentation platforms (e.g., Primavera, MS Project, DOORS).
  • Exposure to FAA programs or NAS systems.
  • FAA-specific or vendor certifications for radar and surveillance technologies.
  • Salary range: $86,000 - $138,000, determined by various factors including experience, education, and geographic location.
  • Eligibility for overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
