About The Position

SURTASS provides an on-demand, mobile, and active/passive maritime surveillance capability in support of Joint and Naval Task Force commanders via towed acoustic sensor systems. The ships and installed SURTASS mission equipment are designed for extended duration and independent operations in remote geographic areas. Thus, self-sufficiency in operations and maintenance is an important mission objective. It is intended that operations and maintenance be performed on board vessels and in depot maintenance facilities with the objective of maximizing operational readiness. Requirements

• Associate Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Technology, or be a graduate of US Navy electronics 'C' school or equivalent civilian electronics technical school.
• 4+ years of related experience.
• Four (4) years' experience of practical hands-on experience in the operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of secure networks and communications systems, navigations systems, and sonar systems.
• Seven (7) years' professional experience in operations management.
• Five (5) years' experience managing personnel.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (i.e., Sec+ CE, Other).
• Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with SURTASS mission systems is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all shipboard requirements.
• Manage the performance of their crew of O&M Technician Crewmembers.
• Submit required reports in accordance with this SOW, the SURTASS SOP, and other directives.
• Serve as the senior contractor onboard the ship supporting IOSC and the contractor.
