About The Position

Surgical Veterinary Technician Sequist Animal Hospital Morristown, Vermont Join A Great Team!! $$ Sign-On Bonus $$ Sequist Animal Hospital is actively looking for a Surgical Veterinary Technician to join our great team. This candidate has to be confident in the surgery room, helping from start to finish. Surgical Prep, surgical monitoring, can scrub in if needed, surgical recovery. (spays, neuters, lumpectomy, some orthopedics, dental) The ideal candidate must also be fluent in rooming patients, placing IV catheters, drawing blood and running bloodwork, have experience with in-clinic laboratory, have knowledge of x-ray and positioning, understand the importance of client education, have experience with proper animal handling and restraint, able to dispense and administer medications prescribed by the veterinarian, and is a positive and supportive team member. Requirements

  • Experienced Veterinary Technician with surgical experience
  • 2+ years of veterinary experience in a vet clinic
  • Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
  • Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Understand the importance of client education
