About The Position

Department: Status: Benefits Eligible: Yes Hours Per Week: 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Full-time (6:30am – 5:00pm) Open to 8 or 10 hour shifts Weeknight call 1 day/week for 5 weeks Next 3 weeks no weeknight call 1 weekend of call every 8-10 weekends $7,500 Sign on Bonus Eligible Day 1 Health Coverage Pay Range $24.85 - $37.30 LOCATION: Lexington Medical Center - 250 Hospital Dr, Lexington, NC EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Graduation from a Surgical Technology program or An accredited school of Nursing. LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required. Certification in specialty area preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures quality patient care, safety, and advocacy through critical thinking, anticipation and management of case specific needs, under direct supervision of the RN.
  • Ensures complete, accurate and timely care, cleanliness and management of instruments, equipment and supplies.
  • Communicates to the team, co-workers and patients in an effective, positive and professional manner. Demonstrates effective, positive, professional manners while exercising verbal and nonverbal communication to the multidisciplinary team, co-workers, and patients.
  • Takes personal responsibility and initiative for performance, professional growth and development.
  • Demonstrates cost containment activities of instruments and inventory.
