About The Position

Baptist Health is looking for a Surgical Technologist with at least 2 years of experience to join our Float Team. As a member of the Float Team, you will have the opportunity to work either Full-time or PRN shifts, offering a flexible schedule to accommodate your lifestyle. A PRN candidate is required to work four shifts per month and a full-time candidate is required to work three shifts per week, weekends included for both. All shifts are 10-hour shifts and there is no on-call required. A Surgical Technologist in this position will float between campuses including the Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville campus operating room. As a Surgical Technologist, your responsibilities will include: Assembling, organizing, and maintaining a sterile field for operative procedures. Anticipating the needs of the surgeon and the progression of the case and preparing accordingly. Proper disposition of specimens and instruments. Working with the entire surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and to promote patient safety. Graduation from an Accredited Surgical Technologist CAAHEP or ABHES Program OR - Previous experience working in an Operating Room (OR) setting Minimum of two years of working experience as a Surgical Technologist Experience in Ortho - total joints, robot, general, Gynecology, ENT, or urology. Requirements

  • Graduation from an Accredited Surgical Technologist CAAHEP or ABHES Program
  • Previous experience working in an Operating Room (OR) setting
  • Minimum of two years of working experience as a Surgical Technologist
  • Experience in Ortho - total joints, robot, general, Gynecology, ENT, or urology.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Preferred
