About The Position
This position is for a Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room, working full-time. The role involves providing perioperative patient care for patients of all ages, from infants through adults, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The primary responsibility is to serve as a scrub technologist, but the individual will also function as a surgical assistant and/or an assistant to the circulating nurse. Requirements
- Graduate of accredited program of Surgical Technology, military experience, recent experience as a surgical technologist, or two years of clinical surgical technology experience at Catawba Valley Medical Center with no degree.
- Demonstrated ability to function as a surgical assistant in multiple specialties.
- Proficient in basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date (given training and on-the-job experience).
Nice To Haves
- BCLS certification from the American Heart Association.
