About The Position

Overview: Schedule: 40 hrs./week with rotating shifts and an on-call requirement. 30-minute response time for on-call required. Job Description Summary: Prepares and assists in surgical procedures by setting up equipment, instruments, and sterile supplies. Job Description: Essential Functions: Prepares operating rooms for surgical procedures by setting up surgical instruments and equipment. Assists surgeons performing surgeries by passing instruments and supplies. Maintains a sterile environment in the operating room by following proper sterilization techniques. Monitors patients' vital signs during surgeries and reports any abnormalities to the surgical team. Handles specimens collected during surgeries and ensures they are properly labeled and sent to the laboratory for analysis. Cleans and restocks operating rooms after surgeries are completed.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Program, required.
• Demonstrates versatility and adaptability.
• Demonstrates a theoretical and clinical ability to conform to standards of asepsis and infection control.

• Operating or delivery room experience, preferred.
