About The Position

The Harborview Operating Rooms have multiple outstanding opportunities for Surgical Technologists. Work in a technological, fast-paced, and exciting department. Utilize knowledge of operations of individual pieces of equipment and skillfully maintain instruments and supplies to meet the demands of the department. The Surgeons in the Harborview Operating Room are world-renowned, with clients from all over the country. Requirements

• Completion of a Surgical Technologist program
• one year of experience assisting clinical staff in a variety of operative procedures in an operating room environment OR equivalent education/experience.
• Registered by the State of Washington as a Surgical Technologist, or licensed in the State of Washington as a Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse or Physician.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead in the patient care experience by prepping and maintaining our Operating Rooms for surgical procedures
• Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders and partners, from our scheduling team to surgeons
• Work in a dynamic, fast-paced, problem-solving environment while maintaining vigilance of instruments and supplies used during surgical procedures
• Perform scrub role while supporting patient safety a sterile environment
• Support of post-operative tasks, including removal of contaminated instruments, decontamination, sterilization and turnover of the Operating Room
