Nemours is seeking a full-time Surgical Technologist to join our Wilmington team! The surgical technologist facilitates the operative or other invasive procedure by preparing and providing the required sterile instruments, supplies and equipment. Maintains the sterile field and anticipates and responds to the needs of the surgical team. This primary position at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware, will include collaboration with the Nemours Ambulatory Surgery Facilities in Pennsylvania and New Jersey to optimize available resources in achieving optimal patient outcomes. This position may require periodic rotation to the ambulatory surgery centers. Travel is compensated based on organizational policy. This position is expected to maintain all state and federal clearances for DE, PA, and NJ for periodic rotation to the surgery centers in Pennsylvania and New Jersey at the discretion of Perioperative Leadership. This includes current Pennsylvania (PA) FBI Fingerprint Report, PA Criminal Background Record, and PA Child Abuse Clearance. This position requires working shifts aligned with the needs of the department and the assigned FTE of the surgical technologist. This position also includes on-call and holiday requirements based on the needs of the department.
