Our Ambulatory Surgery and Procedure Center has 10 operating rooms and 6 procedure rooms and last year we cared for over 16,500 patients. What you will do as a Surgical Technologist: Serves as scrub person during operative procedures Anticipates surgeon’s needs Supplies appropriate instruments, suture and specialty items. Maintains aseptic technique during all sterile procedures. Assures proper identification and handling of specimens. Completes all required sponge, sharps and instrument counts. Assists in transfer/positioning of patients. Assures availability and proper functioning of supplies and equipment. Assembles and adjusts equipment. Cleans, replenishes and sterilizes instruments and supplies as needed. What you will need: 2 years of operating room experience with knowledge of AORN standards. Ability to effectively use technology and medical/surgical terminology. Knowledge of safe surgery processes. Ability to work effectively surgical team and anticipates next steps. Excellent verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal, collaboration and organizational skills. No weekends, holidays or call work.
