Surgical Technologist, Sandy Springs Outpatient Surgery Center
About The Position
Northside Hospital is an award-winning, state-of-the-art, and continually growing institution, constantly expanding the quality and reach of its care to patients and communities. The Surgical Technologist handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during surgical procedures. This role helps to ensure patient safety and quality of care by performing various tasks and duties that provide technical assistance and support to medical/surgical staff and personnel during and in the turnover of surgical procedures. The technologist specializes in multiple surgical service lines and potentially works with neonates, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
- Visual color acuity screening depending on the role in specific units.
- Must hold American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
Nice To Haves
- Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Technologist in Surgery- Certified (TS-C) through the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
