About The Position

The Surgical Technologist assists in the care and preparation of surgical patients. This role functions as a member of the surgical team, responsible for creating and maintaining a sterile field. The technologist must be knowledgeable about instruments, supplies, and equipment used during surgical procedures, understand the procedure being performed, and anticipate the surgeon's needs. The position also requires demonstrating knowledge of growth and development principles across the life span, assessing patient data, interpreting information to identify age-specific needs, and providing care as described in departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
Current Washington State registration as a Surgical Technologist.
Current national certification as a Surgical Technologist.
Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).

Nice To Haves

Minimum one-year recent surgical experience.
