This is a full-time (36 hrs/week) position with a VARIED shift at Scripps Encinitas, including 1-3 monthly call shifts. The role is bonus eligible. Requirements

• One year of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist or completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist training program
• Excellent communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Able to multi-task and work well in a team environment
• Detail oriented and able work well in a fast-paced, high stress environment
• Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider

Responsibilities

• Ensure operating rooms are ready for surgery, including all case-specific supplies and equipment are sterile and ready for use
• Monitor the sterile field throughout procedures
• Scrub for cases
• Anticipate the needs of the physician and operating team
