Surgical Technologist, Reid Outpatient OR
About The Position
Baptist Health is looking for an experienced Surgical Technologist to support our Surgical Services Team at our Reid Outpatient OR. This Surgical Technologist position is a full-time days position. As a Surgical Technologist at Reid Outpatient OR - No call, No Holiday, No Weekends are required for this position! In lieu of call, you may be required to stay over in the event of case overruns. As a Surgical Technologist for Reid Outpatient OR, your responsibilities include: Assembling, organizing and maintaining a sterile field for operative procedures. Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and progression of the case and prepare accordingly. Proper disposition of specimens and instruments. Works with entire surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety. Performs in first assist role in a variety of surgical procedures. Functions as a support to related departments within Surgical Services as needed. No call, no weekends, no holidays
Requirements
- Graduation from an Accredited Surgical Technologist CAAHEP or ABHES Program
- Previous experience working in an Operating Room (OR) setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
Nice To Haves
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from an accredited program preferred NBSTA or NCCT, but not required
