About The Position

Assist as a member of the surgical team who works with the surgeon, registered nurse, and anesthesiologist delivering direct patient care before, during and after surgery. The technologist specialist functions as an instrument assistant and may also function as a circulating assistant under supervision of a registered nurse. Instruct and supervise orientees in sterile technique, procedures, anatomy, etc.

Requirements

• AST certification required.
• Maintain AST or NCCT certification.
• Graduate of a recognized surgical technologist program.
• Motor Vehicle Operator Designation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgical team in delivering direct patient care before, during, and after surgery.
• Function as an instrument assistant during surgical procedures.
