About The Position

The Surgical Technologist assists in surgical procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, supporting Level 1 Trauma cases. This role requires maintaining sterile technique, preparing instruments and supplies, and assisting the surgical team throughout the perioperative process.

Responsibilities

• Perform scrub duties following established aseptic techniques
• Prepare sterile instrument tables and supplies based on surgical procedures
• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and operative site preparation
• Anticipate surgeon’s needs for instruments, sutures, sponges, and supplies
• Maintain accurate sponge, needle, and instrument counts
• Monitor and maintain sterile field throughout procedures
• Assist with specimen handling, dressings, and patient transfer
• Support circulating nurse functions as needed
• Assist with room turnover and preparation for the next case
