Surgical Technologist - Non-Certified
About The Position
The Non-Certified Surgical Technologist functions as a member of the perioperative team assisting the physician with the instrumentation, supplies and equipment needed to perform the surgical procedure. S/he works under the direct supervision of a registered nurse and assists with organization and management of departmental equipment, supplies and instrumentation. Requirements
- High School graduate.
- Graduate of Surgical Technologist program after successfully completing on-the-job training.
- Following a formal orientation, proficiency in the assigned clinical area is expected within six months.
- Cross training is required.

- Certification as Surgical Technologist is desirable.
