About The Position

Join our newly renovated Ambulatory Surgery Center, including five operating rooms and a sterile processing department. Specialize in cutting-edge orthopedic (including pain management) and spine procedures while advancing your surgical technology career. The Surgical Technologist handles instruments, supplies and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. Has an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. Has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field. He/she will perform other related duties as needed to maintain department cost containment, efficiency, as well as quality performance.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of work experience as a Surgical Technologist.
  • Competent in the role of Surgical Technologist with advanced knowledge and ability.
  • Ability to independently perform roles and tasks related to surgical technology.
  • Ability to first assist is preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a Surgical Technologist program or equivalent required.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or equivalent required within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist is highly preferred.

Responsibilities
