Requirements

• Completion of 4 years of high school plus additional specialized courses or training.
• Graduation from an approved Surgical Technology Program.
• Certified Surgical Technologist credential from a nationally recognized certifying body.
• Certification in Basic Life Support is required.
• One (1) year of Surgical Technologist experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to surgical team during the intra-operative phase.
• Ensure aseptic, safe, appropriately equipped and functional surgical environment.
• Responsible for OR preparation, instrument supply and assembly.
• Maintain sterile fields and perform hands-off instruments.
• Initiate counts throughout procedures.
• Perform Surgical Technologist duties including on-call duties as needed.
