About The Position

As a member of the healthcare team, the Surgical Technologist Level 3 collaborates with the surgical team to provide care for patients, ensuring that patient goals are met and the hospital's mission is carried out. The Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin regional health network is a partnership between Froedtert Health and the Medical College of Wisconsin, supporting a shared mission of patient care, innovation, medical research, and education. This health network operates eastern Wisconsin's only academic medical center and adult Level I Trauma center, engaged in thousands of clinical trials and studies. The network includes ten hospitals, nearly 2,000 physicians, and more than 45 health centers and clinics, drawing patients from throughout the Midwest and the nation. Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of Surgical experience as a Surgical Technologist or Surgical Technician
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Post high school education, certification or diploma
  • Completion of a Surgical Technologist program, completion of Military Operating Room Specialist course or the Froedtert Health sponsored apprentice II program
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (not required for Level 3 staff hired prior to 8/1/2020 who meet job description criteria)
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities
