About The Position

About the Role: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Surgical Technologist to join our team and inspire the next generation of surgical technology professionals. In this role, you will teach core surgical technology courses under the direction of the Program Director, using your experience and credentialing to prepare students for success in the operating room and beyond. Becoming an instructor allows you to hone in on that passion and work in a less strenuous, lower-risk environment while making a lasting impact. Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and effective instruction in core surgical technology courses, adhering to the current Core Curriculum guidelines. Collaborate with program leadership to support the academic goals and mission of the Surgical Technology program. Foster a supportive, inclusive learning environment that promotes student success and professional growth. Evaluate student performance, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate academic records. Participate in faculty meetings, curriculum development, and programmatic assessments as needed.

Requirements

  • Hold a current credential in Surgical Technology from a nationally recognized and accredited credentialing agency (e.g., NBSTSA) OR willing to obtain certification upon employment.
  • Have a minimum of three (3) years of recent operating room experience, teaching experience in the field, or a combination of both within the last five (5) years.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Work on-site (In-person instruction required).
  • Previous teaching experience is not required.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience in a higher education or healthcare training environment.
