The Surgical Technician II works in collaboration with the Registered Nurses to provide care of the surgical patient in the OR suite.

Requirements

• Graduate from a surgical technology program which is CAAHEP or ABHES accredited
• BLS certification
• 3+ years of surgical technician experience
• Demonstrated basic computer skills and experience
• Demonstrated mastery of advanced Surgical Technician skills and extensive knowledge of at least one specialty service

Nice To Haves

• Reside in CST time zone
• Ambulatory Surgery Center or hospital experience
• Experience in multi-specialty services

Responsibilities

• Prepares the instruments for each surgical procedure
• Scrubs in on surgical cases to prepare instruments and assists the surgeon
• Assists in room turn over and are responsible for instrument decontamination
• Contributes to the orientation of new surgical technicians
• Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development as it relates to specific age groups
• This position works as needed to provide staffing for the ASC OR
• This position serves the following age groups: Infant, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric
