About The Position

Atrium Health Cabarrus is seeking a Surgical Technologist I to join our Labor and Delivery team. This part-time position requires working various night shifts. The role involves assisting in surgical procedures, ensuring the operating room is prepared, and maintaining sterile conditions. The Surgical Technologist will work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other medical staff to provide high-quality patient care during labor and delivery.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a surgical technology program.
• Certification as a surgical technologist (CST) preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a surgical setting.
• Knowledge of labor and delivery procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures by preparing and maintaining the sterile field.
• Ensure all surgical instruments and supplies are available and functioning.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to provide optimal patient care.
• Monitor and maintain sterile conditions in the operating room.
• Participate in the cleaning and restocking of the operating room after procedures.
