About The Position

The scrub tech is responsible for assisting in nursing care and preparing the surgical patient by performing routine and delegated duties according to standards, policies and procedures, performing scrub duties and related procedures, and assisting Operating Room nursing personnel with nursing functions as directed.

Requirements

• Graduate of a surgical technology program accredited by the Commission for the Surgical Technologist (LCC-ST) as evidenced by verification of certification.
• One year surgical technician experience is preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current Surgical Technologist certification through NBSTSA.

Responsibilities

• Assist in nursing care and prepare the surgical patient.
• Perform routine and delegated duties according to standards, policies, and procedures.
• Perform scrub duties and related procedures.
• Assist Operating Room nursing personnel with nursing functions as directed.
