About The Position

As a Surgical First Assist Technologist, you will play a crucial role in assisting surgeons during surgical procedures, ensuring optimal patient care and safety. Your expertise will contribute directly to successful surgical outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
• Current certification as a Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist in a hospital or surgical center
• Proficiency in surgical instrumentation, sterile technique, and surgical procedures across various specialties in cardiovascular surgery

Nice To Haves

• Endoscopic Vein harvesting skills preferred, but on the job training can be provided

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient vital signs
• Assist with preoperative positioning and prepping patients for surgery
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process
• Assist primary surgeon with the operative details of surgery cases, including closing independently and endoscopic vein harvesting when indicated
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to patient safety and confidentiality
• Dedication to maintaining high standards of surgical care and procedural excellence
• Ability to stand for extended periods, assist team with lifting and moving patients
• Visual and auditory acuity to monitor patient status and communicate effectively in a surgical environment
• Multi-tasking ability to maintain awareness of surrounding yet focus on the surgical field
