About The Position

We are seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CVOR Heart Team) to support cardiovascular surgical procedures in a dynamic clinical environment. This role involves working closely with surgeons and the surgical team to ensure efficient operations, maintain sterile conditions, and deliver high-quality patient care using advanced surgical technologies.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or military equivalent
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Required
• BLS Certification (AHA) – Required
• Minimum 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience

Nice To Haves

• CVOR experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a sterile field for cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Scrub and assist during cardiac surgeries in accordance with AORN and AST standards
• Handle, organize, and prepare surgical instruments and equipment
• Operate sterilization equipment and ensure proper functionality
• Participate in on-call rotation as required
• Assist with: Case cart preparation OR room setup and turnover Inventory and supply management Updating surgeon preference cards
• Follow hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines
• Communicate effectively with the surgical team and escalate concerns when necessary
• Support quality improvement initiatives and patient safety standards
• Contribute to a positive and efficient team environment
