Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• If LPN in surgical Technologist role: Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
• Current BCLS certification for Surgical Technologist.
• For individuals hired after August 1, 2007, certification is to be obtained within one year of date of hire.
• One-year experience in a Surgical Technologist role in an applicable acute care operating room setting or clinical experience in Surgical Technologist training program.

Nice To Haves

• Associates of Applied Science in Surgical Technology.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care by assisting the surgeon in achieving desired surgical outcomes.
• Aids perioperative team by scrubbing and caring for the patient before, during, and after surgical intervention.
