Get to Know Your Team: Hillcrest Hospital Cushing is a 99-bed community-owned facility offering 24-hour emergency services, cardiology, general surgery, orthopedics, diagnostic imaging, withdrawal stabilization, wound care and urology. Learn About a Day In the Life of a Surgical Tech: Provide patient care under the direct supervision of the Physician and the Registered Nurse. Demonstratesresponsibility and accountability in selecting, assembling, testing, and operating equipment and instruments in accordance with policies and procedures. Accountable for performing as a primary scrub person, handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure while applying principles of sterile technique. Contribute to expected patient outcomes in accordance with policies, procedures, established standards, and administrative policies.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program
  • Sterile Technique knowledge
  • BLS certification is required within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of Surgical Tech experience.
