About The Position

Job Summary: The Operating Room Technician performs assigned perioperative duties to assist the surgical team. Requirements

  • Graduate from an approved school of Operating Room Technology or Surgical Technology.
  • Ability to relate effectively to patients, their families, physicians, staff and all others using proper channels of communication.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
  • The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's/area's/department's policies and procedures.
  • Must maintain current AHA BLS certification.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Operating Room Technology or Surgical Technology is preferred.
