About The Position

The position is for a surgical scrub person who will perform various tasks before, during, and after surgery to assist the surgical team. The role requires knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served, including understanding their physical and psychological needs. The individual must observe and maintain sterile technique by all members of the surgical team.

Requirements

• Must be a graduate from an accredited Certified Surgical Technician program or equivalent.
• Required to attend in-depth orientation regarding patient care skill tasks.
• Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• National certification through the Association of Surgical Technologists is required; if not possessed at time of hire, must obtain it within 18 months.
