About The Position
What We Offer Location: Presbyterian Physician Plaza (HUNTERSVILLE ASC) Shift/Hours: PRN, as needed Current Surgical Tech experience required. The ASC Surgical Technologist is expected to work in an operating suite for the center. The ASC Surgical Technologist is able to function as a team member in an ASC environment through cross-training to other primary areas, assisting with turnover, and all other aspects of day-to-day ASC operations. Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology program or Military Training Equivalent (68D - Operating Room Specialist).
- For incumbents who are not graduates of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or have certification please see additional skills required.
- Online Surgical Tech program credits will not be accepted.
- For incumbents who are not graduates of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or have certification the following additional requirements apply: new graduates must obtain certification within 12months of hire.
- Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skill validation and competency testing.
- Demonstrate effective and appropriate customer service skills, verbal and nonverbal communication techniques, interpersonal relationship skills, and time management skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience: Previous Surgical Technologist experience, preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Current Surgical Tech certification, preferred.
- One to two years of experience in sterile processing or equivalent training if assigned solely to sterile processing.
