Job Summary: Describes anatomy/steps for surgeries; Uses sterile technique; assist surgical team with procedure; collaborates with other members of OR team; transports patients; Demonstrates knowledge of normal growth and development in the delivery of care; Facilitates open communication with all team members; Initiates and supports the teaching mentoring process; Maintains a safe work environment; resolves problems on a one-to-one basis; Takes an active role in professional development.
Requirements
- Possession of a license and current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State OR be eligible for certification by Association of Surgical Technologists through the completion of a formal certificate or degree program in Surgical Technology or by meeting the Association of Surgical Technologists experience requirements
