About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist who will prepare, organize, and monitor the sterile field environment under the direction of a surgeon and a registered nurse for assigned surgical cases and deliveries. The Surgical Technologist will provide assistance to the surgeon/physician and registered nurse as directed. This role is crucial in ensuring that the surgical environment is safe and efficient, contributing to the overall success of surgical procedures.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent (Cert, GED, Trn, Exper).
• Basic Life Support certification is required.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program is preferred.
• Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Nice To Haves

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.
• Experience in a surgical setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize the sterile field environment for surgical cases and deliveries.
• Monitor the sterile field to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Assist the surgeon and registered nurse during surgical procedures as directed.
