About The Position

Surgical Technician at Providence St. Jude Medical Center, Fullerton, CA. This position is Full Time and will work 12-hour, Day shifts to include Call rotations. As a member of the surgical team, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse Circulator, maintains the operating room sterile field; passes instruments, sutures, and sponges during surgery. Insures that proper aseptic technique is utilized to prevent contamination and infection. Assists the registered nurse with circulating duties. Requirements

• Coursework/Training: Graduate of a program accredited by the Association of Surgical Technicians.
• National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• Experience with proficient scrubbing in one or more: Complex Spine, Total Joints, Open Hearts (chest), and the Eye Service.

Nice To Haves

• 2 years of recent operating room experience.
